As the holiday season winds down, I find myself reflecting on the magic of Christmases past. This year looked a little different for me. With limited access to a studio, (we let the studio go in August). I wasn't able to capture as many of those classic, cozy Christmas portraits as I have in years before. It’s bittersweet, but it’s also a gentle reminder that every season of life brings its own rhythm.
While I missed the flurry of holiday shoots — the twinkling lights, the matching pajamas, and the pure joy on children’s faces — I’m incredibly grateful for the beautiful memories I made last year. Those sessions were filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of holiday cheer. I’ll never forget the fun moments shared with families, friends, and little ones who lit up the camera with their joy and wonder.
Not having a studio this year didn’t take away from the spirit of the season. Instead, it gave me time to pause and appreciate the heart of Christmas: connection, love, and gratitude. Looking back on last year’s sessions, I’m reminded of just how special it is to freeze those moments in time — the giggles, the hugs, and even the "outtakes" that are sometimes the most precious of all.
Looking ahead, I’m hopeful and excited for next year. Plans are already stirring for how I’ll bring the Christmas magic back in full swing. Maybe it’s a studio. Maybe it’s something even more creative and unexpected. Either way, I’m looking forward to capturing those heartwarming moments once again.
To everyone who allowed me to be a part of their holiday memories, thank you. Your trust and support mean the world to me. I’m looking forward to creating even more magic together next Christmas. Until then, may your hearts be full and your memories sweet.
