Back in the action with Team CES! It was an adrenaline-fueled weekend at the Great Cedar Showroom in Foxwoods Resort Casino. After a refreshing break, I dove back into the world of combat sports, capturing the intensity and drama from start to finish. From creating dynamic fighter portraits with a green screen to managing the stunning CES Ring Models, it was a non-stop thrill.
Due to the ring's layout, I opted to shoot from my seat about 15-20 feet away from the cage, a change from my usual ringside position. Photographing MMA and combat sports is a unique challenge, filled with fast-paced, raw emotions that make it a photographer's dream. The cage's mesh can obstruct views, requiring precise focus and positioning to get clear shots of the fighters. Capturing the essence of the event—the sweat, the strain, and the electric atmosphere—demands skill, patience, and the right gear. This weekend, I relied on my Nikon D850 and Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 to overcome these obstacles and deliver stunning images.
It’s always a blast with my CES family! Stay tuned to see where our next adventure takes us...
